Description

Rubber Lining

Heavy-duty elastomeric rubber lining solutions engineered by PT Misuba Guna Indonesia to safeguard industrial storage tanks, slurry pipelines, ball mills, FGD scrubbers, and chemical vessels from combined chemical corrosion, mechanical impact, and coarse particle erosion. Applied using precision cold-bonding or autoclaved hot-vulcanizing techniques, our rubber linings form an elastic, high-adhesion protective barrier over prepared metal substrates.

We specialize in both soft natural rubber linings for extreme slurry abrasion and hard ebonite (hard rubber) linings for concentrated acid exposure and high-temperature chemical immersion.

Custom Engineering Consultation & Ordering Guide

For rubber lining projects, provide your vessel dimensions or pipe spool schedule, media composition (e.g., phosphoric acid, HCl, copper ore slurry, POME effluent), operating temperature, and site vs shop lining requirements. PT Misuba Guna Indonesia conducts SA 2.5 grit blasting, adhesive primer application, multi-layer rubber laying, vulcanization, and 100% high-voltage spark testing.

Features

  • Dual protection: Exceptional impact and slurry abrasion resistance combined with complete acid and alkali barrier protection
  • Available in soft rubber (40-60 Shore A) for high-velocity particle impact and hard ebonite (75-80 Shore D) for chemical immersion
  • Superior elastomeric flexibility dampens structural vibration and accommodates thermal contraction without cracking
  • High-bond strength adhesive system (>10 N/mm peel strength) prevents liner disbondment under vacuum or pressure swings
  • Cold-bonding site repair systems available for quick field maintenance of tank linings without autoclave requirement

Applications

  • Mining ore slurry pipelines, hydrocyclones, flotation cells, and ball mill shells
  • Power plant FGD scrubber towers, slurry recirculation pumps, and gypsum slurry tanks
  • Phosphoric acid storage tanks, water treatment demineralizer vessels, and cation/anion beds
  • Chemical processing transport tankers, acid pickling vats, and waste neutralization pits
  • Palm oil mill effluent (POME) treatment tanks and coastal seawater intake pipes

Materials

  • Rubber Compounds: Natural Rubber (Soft & Ebonite Hard), Chlorobutyl, Bromobutyl, EPDM, Neoprene, Synthetic NBR
  • Bonding System: Multi-layer chemlok/isocyanic adhesive primer systems
  • Lining Thickness: Standard 3mm, 4mm, 6mm, up to 25mm multi-ply build-up
